Assisted in planning the center’s annual fundraising event “Gourmet Night”. Created annual PR campaign, printed materials and promotional items.
Communication Specialist YMCA of Florida’s First Coast 2008-2009
Focused on visual appearance of final documents using design sense, creativity and imagination. Ensured document consistency while performing to a zero defect standard. Attended planning meetings and organized graphic strategies for upcoming assignments. Participated regularly with management and peers in meetings and reviews for feedback from peers and project leads as part of effective communication with the team. Mentored management and peers in best practices, processes and procedures pertaining to production. Created, coordinated and maintained up to date electronic branch communications including web site, newsletters, e-mail marketing, Facebook communications, Twitter communications and Flickr content. Designed logos, full size posters, monthly schedules, promotional materials, informational materials, internal forms and displays for programming, special events, community events, open houses, campaigns, fund raising and community projects. Coordinated branch events, programs and focus groups. Created and maintained programming guides, displays and promotional materials. Specified content creation guidelines for inter- departmental promotional consistency. Additional responsibilities included management of staff, payroll for a branch of 100+ employees, coordinated monthly board meetings and functions, tracked branch budgets, reconciled daily cash receipts, organized off-site events for specific member and guest demographics, and participated in special projects including videography, press releases and web site overhaul initiatives.
Communications & Purchasing Administrative Assistant YMCA of Florida’s First Coast 2004-2005
Actively led the Brand Champion Committee, to oversee YMCA of Florida’s First Coast logo redesign, implementation and governance of association wide graphic standards policy. Accomplished the processes required in printing to produce press-ready artwork. Produced new materials for logo designs, promotions, events and programs for reproduction in print, on promotional materials and on the web.
